Support for Windows XP has ended!

Microsoft Ended Support for Windows XP on April 8th, 2014. EMC Computers is of the opinion that immediately running XP won't pose a risk. If you continue to run XP you won't be alone, there will continue to be millions of computers on the market running XP for years to come. That being said as time ticks you will become more exposed to risk as updates become unavailable. The other issue is with Microsoft dropping support, other software vendors will probably follow suite. So the risk probably won't be immediate, but the issue you might run into is lack of overall support for XP in the near future. For more infromation please check Microsoft's website at windows.microsoft.com.

We here at EMC typically recommend users upgrading from XP machines choose Windows 7 over Windows 8 because Windows 7 is very similar to Windows XP in terms of the layout and user ability; whereas Windows 8 is very different and often frustrating for users upgrading from Windows XP. That being said it is your choice as to which product you want, just know that we have options available for both Windows 7 and Windows 8 in both New and Refurbished PC's.
